Thanks very much for sending me my award for the 19th Annual March Madness Biathlon (3/20/05), which arrived very fast after the race on the day before Easter.
New York Triathlon continues to be otstanding in acceptance of "older" athletes into your races, which includes the tolerant attitudes of all the volunteers, staff and hundreds of fellow competitors.
Yours truly,

Dear NYT,
Congratulations and thanks again for organizing another fine (19th Annual) March Madness Biathlon (3/20/05). This is my 11th year competing in this event and well over my 30th NYT multi-sport event.
Despite the rainy weather conditions and the large turnout of participants, you and your volunteer staff once again put on a well-run, fair and safe event.
I look forward to this event as it is the signal that Spring is just around the corner and the racing season has begun. The March Madness Biathlon is always an adventure with years past where the temperature was far below freezing, it was uncommonly warm, or even snowing! But despite the worst that Mother Nature can deliver, I am always confident that you and your staff will be there to stage a race.
The professional but helpful attitude of everyone involved in the running the race rubs off on the participants, with more experienced people going out of their way to help new participants.
The best testament to the excellence of the NYT races is the number of participants (like myself) and the number of volunteers who continue to return year after year. The NYT Biathlon series is the gold standard to which I measure other multi-sport events.
Thanks again and see you (next month) in the Bronx!
Regards,
Paul Greenberg

Dear NYT
Just wanted to take a moment to congratulate you on yet another wonderful event (March Madness Biathlon - '04).
The March Madness Biathlon that I just did Sunday was, as are all your events, well organized with a warm atmosphere of camaraderie. I overheard several instances where veteran racers were answering questions for first timers. But the races you host are more than that. They are a great opportunity for any person interested in taking on a personal challenge to find out what his, or her, body can do. And no one has to be a great athlete to complete one of your events. Nor does one have to "race", because the truth is, finishing is winning.
As a long time physical educator and proponent of better health through exercise, I commend you for your work in bringing moderate distance events to the general public. Many people do listen to me describe the biathlon and at first think its too far, but when I explain they can go at their own pace, and that the key is to train, sometimes the listener realizes, "Hey, I might be able to do that". And then, with proper training, they do!
With the weather about to become beautiful (Spring is upon us...), I hope that many athletes will take a look at your web site, learn how to train, and get out on the course to discover the thrill of participating and finishing a NYT event.
Thanks Again

Dear NYT,
Thanks for a great March Madness Biathlon (March 30, 2003).
It was great to compete in the largest biathlon to be held in Central Park. Thanks to your organization, many athletes had the chance to compete in the greatest place and with the greatest athletic organization in the world.
Continued success.
Yours Truly,
